The below notice was sent to all of our current Certifying (Part 2) Exam candidates on 9/4/2020:

During these times of uncertainty, we continue to evaluate all of the developments happening around the world and are working hard to make decisions that are required to protect the health and safety of our Certifying (Part 2) candidates, Diplomates, board personnel and examiners. Therefore, in consideration of those factors, coupled with the approaching regular flu season, the American Board of Urology (ABU) has made the difficult decision to delay our oral examinations until the spring of 2021. We are working diligently with the Grand Hyatt in Dallas, Texas, so that we can deliver a safe and equitable examination experience. We have adjusted the administration dates from February to May 6-8, 2021. Please expect to receive additional information in the coming weeks.

On behalf of all of us at the ABU, we thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. We hope that you, your families, and your colleagues remain safe and healthy. We are also steadfast in our commitment to assist you as you navigate these challenging times, and encourage those needing assistance to contact Amy Woodson (Certification Coordinator) at amy@abu.org
